The Wesley Press was established in the year 1814. Since then the Wesley progressed as the years rolled by. It is now located on the ground floor of the Methodist Central Building in Kollupitiya. The main source of income for the Wesley Press, until the year 1966, has been the printing of school books.

Currently, the Wesley Press mainly caters to the students of the Methodist College. Wesley Press provides these students with their daily stationery requirements such as pens, pencils, exercise books, etc. In addition to that, a number of Christian literatures, including Bibles, study Bibles, Methodist prayer books and hymn books, are available at Wesley Press. 


It also supplies stationery to Methodist Headquarters, Evangelism Department and Jeevodayam Farm. The main sales points are Methodist Headquarters, Methodist College, Colombo University, Evangelism Department and Philip Mission.
